Solid State Drive

A Solid-State Drive (SSD), also known as a Solid-State Disk, is a solid-state storage device that is expected to be the successor to the Hard Disk Drive (HDD), which has been used for computer storage previously. The SSD uses integrated circuit assemblies as memory to store data without the need for an actual disk or drive motor. These devices are typically more resistant to physical shock, have reduced noise and a shorter access time. Panasonic supplies solutions for SSDs including control MCUs, Sensors, Motor Driver IC's and custom Motors to facilitate specific read/write speed specifications.
