Panasonic Industry announces the new EZP-R Series Polypropylene Film Capacitors.  The EZP-R Series Film Capacitors are specifically engineered for DC link and DC filtering applications in solar inverters, wind power generation, industrial power supplies, and inverter circuits used in appliances such as air conditioners. Designed to operate reliably under high electrical and thermal stress, the EZP-R Series delivers high reliability, long product life, low loss, low ESR, and high current capability in compact, flame retardant packages.

At the core of the EZP-R Series is a metallized polypropylene film dielectric, providing excellent electrical stability and self healing performance. This construction ensures consistent capacitance over time while minimizing losses and internal heating. With a dissipation factor of ≤ 0.2 % (20 °C, 1 kHz), EZP R capacitors enable more efficient power conversion and help designers improve overall system efficiency.

Reliability is critical in renewable energy and industrial power systems, and the EZP-R Series is built to meet that demand. With a 600 VDC rated voltage, high insulation resistance, and a wide operating temperature range from –40 °C to +105 °C, these Capacitors are suitable for continuous operation in harsh environments. Voltage and current derating guidance above 85 °C further supports long service life and dependable real-world performance.

The EZP-R Series also supports high RMS and peak current handling, making it ideal for fast switching inverter circuits and DC bus smoothing. Low ESR and strong dv/dt capability allow the capacitors to manage ripple currents and transient voltage conditions common in modern power electronics. Flame-retardant UL94 V 0 case and sealing materials enhance safety in both industrial and appliance applications, while RoHS compliance supports global regulatory requirements.
