Scope
This Privacy Notice for Panasonic Corporation of North America (“Panasonic”, “we” or “us”) explains how Panasonic collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you access or use our websites, mobile application(s), and other products and services (collectively, the “Services”), contact our service team, engage with us on social media, or otherwise interact with us. It also applies to information that we receive from business partners and other third parties.

This Privacy Notice does not apply to:
- Panasonic Canada or certain affiliated companies that display a different Privacy Notice. For example, this Privacy Notice does not apply to Panasonic.aero, Hussmann, Clearview Connect. Privacy Notice
What Information do we Collect?
- Identifiers/Contact information: Information that can be used to directly identify you such as name, social media handle, addresses, and phone numbers; device identifier, IP address, government-issued identification number, date of birth/age, license plate number, tokenized payment information, social media handle, and other similar identifiers. Information that you use to create an account with us such as username and password
- Demographics: Information such as your age range or date of birth, income range, education, nationality, or gender
- Voluntary Communications: Contents of email, voicemail, social media posts, likes or other interactions, or direct messages, physical correspondence you send to us, responses to surveys, information you post, display and/or publish on any of our Services, website search terms, and when you tell us your communications preferences, including your preferred communication method, language, time zone, and other relevant communications information
- Photos, Video, and Other Multimedia Information: If you upload a photo for a profile image when creating an account, for example, or if you provide a photo or video at an event or as part of a contest or sweepstakes or to document a customer service issue, we collect those images
- Payment Data: If you make a purchase, we collect credit card numbers and other payment or billing information. Note that we do not process credit card information directly. We use third party vendors to process payment card information
- Transactional Information: When you make a purchase or return, we collect information about the transaction, such as product details, purchase price, and date and location of the transaction
- Log and Usage Information: We collect log information about your use of the Services, including the type of browser and operating system you use, the domain and host from which you access the internet, access times, pages viewed, web browsing history, your IP address, and the page you visited before navigating to our Services. Additionally, when you enter any password-protected area of a website, our website will recognize you and collect information that you submit. This form of data collection may be performed by authentication tokens tied to user accounts created by an integrated third-party user database
- Device Information: We collect information about the computer or mobile device you use to access our Services, including the hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers and tokens, unique identifier headers, mobile network information, and other information that identifies you as the user of the device or the person providing information to us
- Location Information: In accordance with your device permissions, we may collect information about the precise location of your device based on IP address or mobile device location information. You may stop the collection of precise location information at any time (see Your Choices below for details)
- Audiovisual Information: Our facilities are equipped with security cameras, which record video and audio of inside and outside our premises. We may also record your calls or chats or other or other communications with us with your consent where required by law

We collect information automatically from systems and technology embedded in our Services and facilities:
- Video and photographs from CCTV and security camera located outside and inside our facilities
- Location of your devices used to access our Services. Depending on the Services you access, location information may be your precise location coordinates or inferred location from your IP address.)
- Technical log information about your use of the Services, including the type of browser and operating system you use, the domain and host from which you access the internet, access times, pages viewed, web browsing history, your IP address, and the page you visited before navigating to our Services. Use of Sensitive Personal Information
We collect and use certain types of sensitive personal information (such as precise geolocation data, biometric identifiers, or health information) to provide and improve our services.
You have the right to limit our use and disclosure of this information to what is reasonably necessary to perform the services or provide the goods you have requested. If you choose to exercise this right, we will not use your sensitive personal information for any purpose other than:
- Providing requested goods or services
- Preventing, detecting, and responding to security incidents
- Ensuring the physical or digital security of our services
- Maintaining the integrity of our systems
- Other purposes authorized by law.

How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We keep information related to your use of Services for as long as necessary to provide the products and services you have requested, fulfill your requests, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and other legitimate and lawful business purposes. Factors that help determine how long we keep information include whether your information is reasonably necessary to manage our operations or our relationship with you, to protect or defend our rights, property, or people; to comply with laws or regulations, or to retain evidence of our legal compliance. Because the need to retain data depends on the transactions and contexts of the data collection and uses, specific retention periods will vary. Multiple retention periods may also apply. Where information is used for more than one purpose, we may retain it until the purpose with the latest period expires.
For example, records related to customer service and consumer affairs purposes are held for no more than 7-years. Records of customer complaints, claims, and contracts are maintained for no more than ten years following resolution of the complaint or claim or the end of the contract. Information related to prospects, customer surveys, customer profiles, market analysis / research, and communications purposes are kept for no more than 5-years.
With Whom Do We Disclose Information?
We may disclose your information with third parties who perform services on our behalf or with which we have another business relationship, to further another legitimate business purpose, or as legally required or permitted by law. Here are some examples of circumstances in which we disclose information to others. We may disclose your information to:

Third-Party Protections
Panasonic requires its vendors, consultants, and service providers that have access to your information to maintain the confidentiality of your information and to comply with the safeguards provided in this Privacy Notice. We also provide our vendors, consultants, and service providers with our opt-out lists so that communications sent on behalf of Panasonic are not sent to those who request to opt-out of our communications.
Past Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
During the past 12 months, we disclosed identifiers such as IP addresses, internet and other electronic network activity information, device information, mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages or in apps, links clicked, conversion information, and sensitive personal information such as precise geolocation information and payment information to our advertising partners, payment processors, platform partners, installers, distributors and resellers.
Sale of Information and Targeted Advertising
Under some state laws, our use of third-party cookies for marketing and online advertising may be a “sale” of information. You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your data by clicking the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on our websites. We do not sell or share sensitive information or the information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Cookies and Digital Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, tags, trackers, and similar digital technologies (“Cookies”) to operate and to help collect data on our website and from our promotional email messages, newsletters and blogs. Social Media Interactions
When you engage with us via social networking platforms, we may have access to your social media account information (e.g., name, username, email address, gender) as determined by the settings of the social media platforms.
The Services may offer social sharing features and other integrated tools (such as the Facebook “Like” button), which let you share actions you take on our Services with other media, and vice versa. When you take these actions, you may cause your information to be shared with your friends or the public, depending on the privacy or sharing settings you select on the social media platform. Social media platforms may also use cookies or other technologies to provide services or track your online activities over time and across multiple websites and device applications. Your interactions with social media features are governed by the respective privacy policies of the social media platforms and not by this privacy notice.
Transfer of Information to the U.S. and Other Countries
Panasonic is based in the United States. Our Services are intended for users in the United States and its territories and possessions, but if you use the Services from any country outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, and processed in, the U.S. and other jurisdictions (such as Japan where our global headquarters is located) that may not provide equivalent levels of data protection as your home country. If you do not agree to such data transfers, do not use the Services. In every case, we will take steps (such as implementing contractual safeguards) to ensure that your personal data receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it. Security of Information
While no systems, applications, or websites are 100% secure, we take reasonable and appropriate steps to help protect information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. To help us protect this information, we request that you use a strong password and never disclose your password to anyone or use the same password with other sites or accounts.
Your Choices
In some circumstances, you may have the right to object to Panasonic’s use of your information. If you wish to delete or deactivate your account, please email us at privacy@us.panasonic.com, call us at 800-704-1257, or submit your request to Panasonic Data Subject Access Request Form, but note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may also retain cached or archived copies of information about you in the normal course of business for a certain period of time. Where we must retain information for legal compliance purposes, your request to delete your information may be interpreted as a request to limit our use of your information.
LOCATION INFORMATION
When you first launch any of our mobile applications that collect location information, you will be asked to consent to the application’s collection of this information. If you initially consent to our collection of location information, you can subsequently stop the collection of this information at any time by changing the preferences on your mobile device. If you do so, our mobile applications, or certain features thereof, may no longer function properly. You may also stop our collection of location information by following the standard uninstall process to remove all of our mobile applications from your device.
PROMOTIONAL COMMUNICATIONS
You may opt out of receiving promotional emails from Panasonic by following the instructions in those emails or by emailing privacy@us.panasonic.com. You may also call us at (800) 704-1257. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.
MOBILE PUSH NOTIFICATIONS/ALERTS
With your consent, we may send promotional and non-promotional push notifications or alerts to your mobile device. You can deactivate these messages at any time by changing the notification settings on your mobile device.
Children’s Online Privacy
You must be at least 16 years of age to use our website or Services. Panasonic does not knowingly collect, sell, share, or maintain any information from children under the age of 16, and no part of our website is designed with the purpose of attracting such children.

RIGHT TO APPEAL: If you believe we have incorrectly administered one of your rights above, you may appeal our decision. To appeal, please send a short explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect to privacy@us.panasonic.com. An empowered Panasonic employee (not the original reviewer) will reassess the decision and we will respond within applicable statutory timelines. If your appeal is denied, we will inform you of any additional rights you may have under your state laws.
To process your requests to access, know, delete, or correct the information, we must be able to verify your identity to a reasonable degree of certainty. To verify your identity, we will ask you to provide your contact information and additional identifiers based on your relationship with us. Before we process your request, we will match these data points with data points we currently maintain to verify your identity and your relationship with us.
When you use an authorized agent to submit a request, you must provide the authorized agent with written permission to do so, and, in certain circumstances, we may ask you to verify your own identity directly with us. We may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been authorized by you to act on your behalf.
