Panasonic EKMC Series PIR Motion Sensors are designed for battery-free applications, operating at a standard 170μA current. The EKMC Series offers both digital and analog output types, making them suitable for a wide range of installations.

With the latest PaPIRs+ launch, the EKMC Series now features enhanced sensitivity and an expanded selection of lens types and detection ranges. Lens options include lensless, with distance detection up to 24 meters. Other options are wall installation, horizontally wide, high-density long distance, low profile, standard, flat wide, ultra-slight motion, ultra wide & long distance, wide area, and spot types. All lens types are available in black, white, and pearl white finishes, providing flexibility for both functional and aesthetic requirements.

This comprehensive lineup allows EKMC Series Sensors to be tailored for various applications, from standard motion detection to long-distance and specialized sensing, while maintaining the reliability and versatility that define the EKMC Series.

All-in-One Plug-and-Play Sensor

Underneath the PIR Sensor Lens
Inside PIR Sensor

Underneath the lens of Panasonic’s PIR (Passive Infrared) Sensors is a special design that uses a single-chip ASIC solution and four-element array pyroelectric sensing elements. The internal circuitry is integrated both amplifier and comparator circuits contained inside a TO-5 metal can with an optical filter to allow infrared to pass through while also preventing interferences caused by electromagnetic fields, such as those generated by cell phones and wireless devices.
