Combines Four Grid-EYE Sensors To Create A Complete Package For People Detection And Counting!

Panasonic is pleased to announce the availability of the NEW Panasonic Grid-EYE Infrared Array Sensor Unit. The NEW Grid-EYE Unit combines four Grid-EYE Infrared Array Sensors to increase the detection area up to 3.8m squared. The NEW Grid-EYE Unit comes preloaded with firmware capable of detection and counting up to 8 people within this area and while they are in this area it can track their direction of movement. The Sensor transmits this information via RS485 using Modbus protocol.

A single Grid-EYE Sensor can detect up to a 3m squared area, while the NEW Grid-EYE Unit can detect a base of 3.8m squared and can be adjusted to see up to 4.2m squared with firmware changes. The NEW Grid-EYE Unit comes preloaded with firmware to be ready for set up right out of the box to provide people detection and counting information. With standard Grid-EYE Sensors, the user has to develop their own detection software. With the NEW Grid-EYE Unit, Panasonic has provided a ready solution for people detection and counting!
