The Panasonic Y5BH Series Connectors are 0.5mm Pitch and 1.8mm Height FPC/FFC highly versatile Connectors with impedance matching for use in High Speed Transmission.

The Y5BH Series Connectors are designed for passing Differential signals compliant with impedance matching of 85Ω and 90Ω and meet various high-speed transmission standards such as USB 3.1 Gen. 2 with transmission speed up to 10 Gbps.

Y5BH Series Connectors also features a construction with both top and bottom contacts which allows for greater design flexibility as the FPC cable can be inserted in either orientation. In addition to FPC, the Y5BH Series Connectors are also compatible with FFC impedance matching which may contribute to design cost savings.

Panasonic Y5BH Series Connectors are also constructed to make positional displacement difficult by surrounding the four sides on the FPC inlet side with wall moldings.

Finally, these Connectors use a back lock construction which allows for high retention force and prevents accidental opening of the lock from lifting up the FPC cable. There are no dedicated ground pin assignments which allows for additional customer flexibility to assign them at will where differential signaling is necessary.
