PAN1770 Series Evaluation Boards

The PAN1770 Evaluation Kit is an all-inclusive and comprehensive evaluation kit available to support rapid prototyping with the PAN1770 Series RF Module. The PAN1770 Evaluation Kit is an Arduino form factor board that comes with a PULSE W1030 Antenna + TE cable and is available in its standard kit or with APPROTECT. The various module interfaces such as USB, UART, GPIOs, current measurement pins, and Segger J-Link on-board debugger are easily accessible for a faster evaluation and prototyping process.

The Evaluation Boards are delivered without any preinstalled software examples, but an integration guide is available explaining how to use the recommended development environment and the free Nordic Semiconductors Software Development Kit, to run different kinds of Bluetooth, thread, ZigBee, 802.15.4 and Antennae software examples.

More About The PAN1770 Series RF Module

pan1770 rf module

Equipped with an ARM Cortex®-M4F Microcontroller Based on the Nordic nRF52840 Chipset and can have an External Antenna Attachment via uFL

The PAN1770 Series, a Bluetooth® 5.1 Low Energy Wireless Connectivity Module based on the Nordic nRF52840 single-chip controller allows you to attach an external antenna via uFL. The Bluetooth® 5.1 features a higher symbol rate of 2 Mbps using the high-speed LE 2M PHY or a significantly longer range using the LE-coded PHY at 500 kb/s or 125 kb/s. The new channel selection algorithm (CSA#2) improves performance in high-interference environments. Furthermore, the new LE advertising extensions allow for more significant amounts of data in connectionless scenarios.

The PAN1770 Series provides an output power of up to 8 dBm, and the high sensitivity of the nRF52840, in combination with the LE-coded PHY, makes the module very attractive in applications where a long range is required. In addition, the ultra-low current consumption of the PAN1770 Series makes the module an ideal choice for battery-powered devices. With the Cortex®-M4F processor, 256 kB RAM, and the built-in 1 MB flash memory, the PAN1770 Series can easily be used in standalone mode, eliminating the need for an external processor saving complexity, space, and cost. The rich set of security features from the ARM TrustZone CryptoCell 310 security subsystem provides the necessary means for secure device operation in the IoT space. The PAN1770 Series also supports Type 2 Near Field Communication (NFC-A) for simplified pairing and payment solutions (external antenna required).
