Automotive Connectors

Automotive devices using FPC cables is increasing.  Some of these applications include instrument panels, steering switches, rear lamps, shift levers, side mirrors, and head lamps.  One newer application where FPC is now being used is in Battery Management Systems as there is a growing trend to reduce the overall weight and avoid operator wiring failures caused from electrical wire connections. Panasonic has developed both board-to-wire and board-to-FPC solutions for both connection types.
